We scour the world for inspiration: from simple inspiration in our local, daily lives to art and museum exhibits and industry trade shows.
Our team has just returned from Frankfurt, Germany, where we attended Heimtextil, the world’s largest home textile trade show.
The show drew approximately 70,000 visitors, including representatives from the retail and wholesale trade, interior decorators, design, architecture and interior design, the hotel industry and general industry.
There were close to 3,000 exhibitors, setting up beautiful room environments to showcase products such as comforters and duvets, towels, shower curtains, table linens, rugs, decorative pillows, throws, furniture, and upholstery fabrics.
We walked the show, looked at an amazing range of products, and talked with industry colleagues and experts in design, manufacturing, and marketing.
Digital printing was a big trend at Heimtex and has been sweeping through the textile printing industry due to the multiple benefits compared to traditional screen printing.
We were early adopters of this trend as most of the designs you see on LauralHome.com are digitally printed. Why? Because we love the clear, high resolution images and crisp, vibrant colors we can achieve. Secondly, digital printing is kinder to the environment than traditional printing as it requires less water and power.
