Melody Hogan’s work is a fusion of her love for graphic design, vintage stylings and the strong design elements and colors she finds in nature. From painstaking photo realism that vibrates with life and energy, to funky freestyle, to home decòr with a hint of sophistication, Melody’s creative projects embody a bold, yet playful expression.
After a 20 year hiatus from personal artwork, Melody began exploring her creative voice again in January of 2007, and experienced an explosive creative “rebirth”. Within 3 months, she had painted over 35 paintings, was accepted into her first juried art show, had a painting selected for publication and gallery show tour, and was signed by international art publisher A. D. Lines Eurogroup, licensing her distinctive work to national retail outlets. And she’s never looked back...
As well as creating in her home studio, Melody frequently paints “live” for local conferences, retreats and worship events. She has published two books of art prints and prose: “The Best of 100 Days of Inspiration” and “50 Days of Faith”, available at major retail book chains and online at Amazon.com. She loves speaking on topics regarding creativity and with her husband has launched a collective for artists called SacredMuse. (www.sacredmuse.us).
In her college days, it seems Melody just couldn’t get enough of school and ended up earning a Bachelor of Science in Art and a Masters of Science in Education from Harding University, in her home town of Searcy, Arkansas. Having stayed at home for far too long, Melody took to the open road and has been a creative influence in corporate, retail and education environments in the Midwest and on both the East and West Coasts.
She currently explore the daily adventure of creative life in Charlotte, North Carolina, with her rhythmic genius of a husband, John, her pocket-full-of-sunshine daughter, Ellie, and their love bucket of a black lab, Gracie.
