Albena Hristova's Art

Albena was born and raised in a family of artists in Eastern Europe. In 1984, Albena graduated as Master of Mural Painting, and shortly after graduation she created several large murals. After falling from a scaffold, she decided to take a safer path and moved to oil painting and mixed media techniques. For many years Albena exhibited her work at the prestigious Art Basel show in Switzerland, selling all of her originals at each show.

In 1990 Albena moved to California and continued to work in oils, holding solo exhibitions in Georgetown, Washington, DC, Los Angeles and Chicago. Enjoying the light of Southern California and traveling to exotic places is part of her creative process.
